Karly Stoker: My Name is Karly Stoker and I am currently studying at Cleveland College of Art and Design, doing a Degree in Textiles and Surface Design. University has flown by; I have almost finished my third and final year. It has been a great experience; I have learnt so much and now feel that I am ready to move on. I am specialising in fashion fabric prints and hope to become a fashion fabric designer and work my way up in the design industry. I have a huge passion for printing and love spending hours in the print rooms, trying out new techniques and experimenting with my designs. It’s exciting to see how things turn out. I have exhibited at Premier Vision (Indigo) for two years running and also at Print Source New York in April 2012. Other achievements include selling work at The Knitting and Stitching show Harrogate and completing a live assignment for Hallmark. In April 2012 I completed a 2 week work experience placement with Pattern Textiles Ltd. I also have several placements lined up for after university.
